10,000 Downloads Reached

Sometime yesterday CataBlog reached its ten thousandth download. This was a significant milestone I had set for myself at the beginning of this project, and I am very pleased to have reached it. Thanks to everyone for downloading, using and supporting CataBlog, the better WordPress cataloging tool. 😀

Just downloaded and installed this plugin. I am amazed at how well designed and easy to use this plugin is. I am very grateful to the developer for really thinking this one out and providing this to the community.

Looking forward to seeing a shopping cart staging instead of taking buy now directly to the paypal site. IT works well though as there is an automatic link redirect back to your shopping page. Excellent software… big THANK-YOU! I’ll rate it 5/5 on WP

Thank you so much for the compliments, both here and on the wordpress.org forum. One of the awesome capabilities that CataBlog has is the ability to put any HTML code you want for the buy now button. While this hasn’t been expanded upon since its inception, it needs to be. For instance one could most likely implement the more advanced PayPal shopping cart API if needed. I am curious what other services have been leveraged to turn catalogs into online stores.

If you want please feel free to submit a CataBlog example page for me to put in my examples section. Have a great weekend. 🙂

Hi Zack, thanks for your reply. I’ll post a link to my client’s site when it’s launched. Just a thought … if the description field takes full html, maybe tinymce editor would be a nice touch

Another thought while using this plugin: When in the catagblog main page, where all the items are listed. It would be very helpful if we could tick items and then transfer them to a specific category with one click. Currently each item needs to be edited and category selected. This is quite laborious on multiple items.

Just to summarize some of these things I’ve picked up:
1- TinyMCE editor for item descriptions
2- Transfer multiple items to categories easily
    3- Paging after ‘x’ items
4- Shopping cart accumulates items until checkout.

    Many thanks
