A new minor update to CataBlog was released last night. This version simply builds on the new template system and the multiple page catalog navigation. New configuration options now allow you to change the labeling of the next and previous links and hide the extra navigation statistics. A new CataBlog Template View was created for archive pages (category, search, lists) and a new token %EXCERPT% was created for use in this template. You may set how many characters the excerpt has in the CataBlog options under the Description Tab. Hope this new enhancements help people make better use of the new features in CataBlog.
Cheers! 🙂
great, but we have problems:
1 – Graphene is tested on the subject but the description overlaps the photo;
2 – we do not find in the options paypal
How can we solve this?
thanks
1 – What is Graphene?
2 – The store view in CataBlog Templates is where you may enter your paypal email address.
Hi Zach!
I could have sworn before I updated to the new 1.3.2 release I had a store tab in the options section….
Where did it go? What happened? Please help. Thanks a bunch:-)
Randi
Randi,
You may find the store template in the new CataBlog Templates Admin Panel, it is in the Admin Menu under CataBlog. There are now four views that may be used in CataBlog, including default, single, archive and store. You may read more about them and how to use the new template system at Making Custom Templates.
Thanks Zach:-) I’ll read up and give it a whirl. You’re the best!
Hi Zach,
Just updated for a client’s site but I got this warning message. Could you help me out?
Warning: copy(/home/davkuk1/musqueamgolf.com/golf/wp-content/uploads/catablog/templates/archive.htm) [function.copy]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/davkuk1/musqueamgolf.com/golf/wp-content/plugins/catablog/lib/CataBlog.class.php on line 2595
Go to the new CataBlog Templates panel in WP Admin. You might be missing some core template files, if you are the interface will warn you. You may manually copy any missing file from this folder:
into this folder, your CataBlog Installation Templates folder
Worked like a charm Zach! Thanks so much.
Isn’t there a ‘read more’ function? the excerpt just hides some text and there is no way to show the hidden text.
thanks.
There are different templates for different page types. Simply add a read more link with the permalink token to the archive template, along with using the excerpt token. Then in the single template use the description token.
